Free Legal Surgeries
For over 25 years Thatcher & Hallam has provided a legal surgery.
Appointments are not necessary, just turn up on the day, and of course there is no charge.
Thatcher & Hallam is the only local law firm to operate free legal surgeries in all areas of the law. Managing Partner Grahame Macaulay explains:

Through our legal surgery initiatives, Thatcher & Hallam are committed to ensuring that justice is accessible to all. We also feel that as a successful business ourselves, it is important that we return something back to the community.’
The main surgery is open every Thursday between 5pm and 6.30pm. The following illustrates just some of the areas of law covered at the surgery:

- Family breakdown/disputes
- Wills/estates problems
- Road Traffic Accidents
- Personal Injury claims
- Consumer rights
- Property disputes
Additionally, every Tuesday between 2.00pm and 5.00pm Thatcher & Hallam host a specialist Family Law Surgery, offering advice on all family breakdown and children related issues.
