Having qualified as a solicitor in 2004, George Persson quickly established himself as a skilful and proactive lawyer specialising in Wills Trusts and Estates. Before joining the team at Thatcher & Hallam LLP, George was both partner and head of department at his previous firm where he had started his career as a solicitor.
George advises on matters ranging from wills, powers of attorney and probate to the creation of detailed trust settlements and provision of tax mitigation advice. However, George is very much regarded as one of the ‘new breed’ of private client lawyer whose professional motivation is the unique opportunity given to him to provide security and peace of mind for his clients and their families within a legal framework.
Additionally, George is a key member of the firm’s specialist Later Life Care Funding team, where he advises on care fees and related elderly client matters, including the challenging of local authority assessments and the obtaining of NHS continuing care. George is also a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
